If you are a listener from Massachusetts, you may already know about the Ballot Measure. However, if you listen to this episode out of Massachusetts, you likely do not know about it. 

The Massachusetts Dental Association was able to get the Ballot Measure on the midterm in November of 2022. This was done after they got the signatures of thousands of individuals. 

Generally, in medical insurance, there is something called the ‘Medical Loss Ratio,’ where all healthcare insurance companies have to spend a  certain percentage of their premium revenue on patient care. 

For dental insurance, there is no such thing. So, Massachusetts decided to take the initiative to see if they could get this on the ballot and find out if this measure could pass.
